To profile the world’s top countries’ Healthcare Policies: to understand and duplicate these practices and to integrate their best systems and policies into the American Healthcare system. It is not difficult to reproduce what already exists. The key is understanding what can be adapted to our system, how to do it, and why. In addition to adopting policies from the top 10 countries in the world, USA should place higher taxes on the fastfood industry as a whole and regulate the amount of fat and types of ingredients they use in their food. Salary Incentives in pay should be instituted across the board throughout the Federal GovT. and Private Industry for all workers willing to take part in nutrition training, smoking cessation programs, exercise training, sleep management, and relaxation training. Personal choices and personal responsibility should be addressed. Internal programs should be put in place and mandatory attendance should be implemented. Every friday for an hour all employees should take part in these various educational classes. Refusal to take part in these programs should yield immediate termination. The cost in additional incentives pay will actually reduce overall cost in medical expenses throughout one’s life since these two are negatively correlated. Simply put, as peoples’ choices to live healthier increase their well-being will as well. The onset of diseases and illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure, lung cancer, and others will be delayed in many cases and prevented in many more cases. Health specialists should be recruited by each organization in the government and private sectors. This will provide thousands of new jobs and meet desperate needs for heathcare reform across the board. People need to be retrained to do what is not only healthy for themselves, but also healthy for their families. Convenience and poor health habits should be immediately replaced with proper planning programs and high expectations for future health habits.
